SIWA minä perhonen
SIWA | 紙和 に「minä perhonen」をお迎えし、一緒に製品をつくりあげました。ハンドドローイングの図案は、時の経過により色褪せることのない物語性豊かなデザインで、SIWA | 紙和の和紙「ナオロン」にシルク印刷で丁寧に刷られています。自然を瑞々しく捉えたドローイングが、和紙の風合いと相まって、温かく暮らしに寄り添います。
SIWA has invited minä perhonen to create products with us. Hand-drawn designs are enhanced by storytelling designs that will not fade away with time, and are carefully silk printed on SIWA’s naoron Japanese paper.
Drawings, which capture nature in a pure and fresh way, combined with the texture of the Japanese paper, warmly accompany you in your daily life.
深澤直人
1956年山梨県生まれ。国際的に活躍するデザイナー。人の想いを可視化する静かで力のあるデザインに定評があり、世界を代表する70社以上のブランドのデザイン、日本国内の企業のリーディングカンパニーのデザインやコンサルティングを多数手がけている。2008年に大直と共にSIWA | 紙和 を立ち上げ、以降SIWA | 紙和のアートディレクターとして製品を発表し続けている。イサム・ノグチ賞、日本グッドデザイン賞金賞など受賞歴多数。日本民藝館館長。多摩美術大学教授。
Naoto Fukasawa.
Born 1956, Yamanashi. Internationally active designer. He is renowned for his quiet and powerful designs that visualise people’s thoughts, and has designed for more than 70 of the world’s leading brands, as well as numerous leading Japanese companies and consulting projects. In 2008, he launched SIWA together with Onao and has been presenting products as art director of SIWA continuously since then. He has received numerous awards, including the Isamu Noguchi Award and the Japan Good Design Award Gold Prize. Director of the Japan Folk Art Museum. Professor at Tama Art University.
SIWA | 紙和
2008年に誕生した「SIWA」は、丈夫で破れにくい障子紙を目指して開発した「ナオロン」という和紙とデザイナーの深澤直人さんとの出会いからスタートしたブランドです。
そもそも和紙は、障子やふすま、雨具、衣服、寝具など、日本の生活に密着した素材でしたが、時代の変遷とともに次第に私たちの日常から姿を消していきました。深澤さんは、素材の特徴を最大限に生かしながら、いまの暮らしにおいて違和感なく使用できる和紙の普遍性を見出していきました。
生産を手がけるのは、ナオロンの開発メーカーでもある「大直」。千年の歴史を持つ山梨の和紙産地、市川大門で、一つひとつを丁寧に作り続けています。
SIWA is born in 2008, a washi called naoron developed with the aim of a shoji paper which is hardly broken. This brand began a meeting with Naoto Fukasawa.
Washi was shoji, fusuma(Japanese traditional paper sliding door), clothes and bedding closely related to Japanese life from the beginning. However translation of the time, they gradually disappear from our life. Naoto Fukasawa is making best use of a material characteristics, he discovered possibility of washi universalize that usable without incongruity sense in a modern life.
The manufactured by Onao which developed naoron. These washi products are lovingly, individually crafted in Ichikawadaimon, Yamanashi, which boasts a 1000 year history of paper making.
柄について
minä perhonenがこれまでに発表してきたテキスタイルデザインの図案から、“life puzzle”、“run run run”、“memoria”の３種をSIWAの7型のアイテムに展開いたしました。
minä perhonenが描く自然物をモチーフにした空想の景色が作りだす世界と、少しずつ変わりながら育っていくSIWAの素材の表情とをお楽しみくださいませ。
From the textile designs previously released by minä perhonen, we have adapted the three designs ― “life puzzle”, “run run run”, and “memoria” ― for seven SIWA items. Please enjoy the world crafted by minä perhonen’s imaginative landscapes inspired by natural motifs and appreciate the expression of the SIWA material, which gradually changes and grows.

フリーハンドで描かれた様々な動物がパズルのピースのように連なった景色が描かれています。思い思いに生きているそれぞれの命が穏やかに繋がっていく世界を想像して生まれた図案です。
The freehand drawing shows a landscape of various animals, which are linked together like pieces of a puzzle. The design was created by imagining a world in which each life that lives in its own way is peacefully connected.

千鳥格子のような連続模様を、うさぎで描かれた図案です。手描きから生まれた絵の具の濃淡やにじみ、かすれもそのままに表現されています。うさぎたちが楽しく駆けていく様子がうかがえる軽やかで優しいデザインです。
The design features a series of staggered lattice-like patterns, painted with rabbits. The shading, bleeding, and blurring from the hand-painted strokes are faithfully captured. The design is light and gentle, vividly portraying rabbits running happily.
memoria
2019→s/s
ゴム版で一つひとつ制作し、筆の刷目の跡を残しながらひらひらと舞う蝶の姿が描かれています。そのタッチからは、蝶たちが舞った影の残像をイメージさせ、遠い記憶の中にある景色を想像させます。
The butterflies are crafted one by one using rubber stamps, fluttering in the air and leaving behind traces of brush strokes. This touch evokes the lingering shadows of the butterflies’ dance, inviting us to envision landscapes from distant memories
